Our adventure begins with a visit to the Grand Mosque of Oman, also known as the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque—one of the most magnificent mosques in the country. This stunning architectural masterpiece showcases intricate Islamic design, grand chandeliers, and the world’s second-largest Persian carpet.
Please note: Women should wear clothing that covers their arms and legs and must cover their heads. Men should wear a normal shirt and trousers. Next, we head to Mutrah, where we explore the bustling fish and vegetable markets, followed by a visit to Oman’s largest traditional souk. Here, you can stroll through the maze of alleys filled with exotic spices, perfumes, jewelry, handicrafts, and souvenirs—a perfect place to experience authentic Omani culture.
Continuing our journey, we step back in time with a visit to Old Muscat, where we admire the stunning Al Alam Palace, the ceremonial residence of His Majesty the Sultan. Flanked by the twin forts of Jalali and Mirani, this historical site offers a breathtaking view of Muscat Bay. We then visit Bait Al Zubair Museum, home to a rich collection of Omani artifacts, traditional costumes, weaponry, and historical exhibits, providing deep insights into Oman’s heritage.
After enjoying a delicious local lunch, we continue our journey to the picturesque Qantab Beach. Driving through the charming fishing villages of Sidab and Haramel, we pass by Al Bustan Palace Hotel, one of the most luxurious resorts in Oman. At Qantab Beach, you’ll have some leisure time to relax, soak up the sun, or take a dip in the warm turquoise waters.
Before concluding our tour, we stop at the Al Qurum shopping district, where you can explore the Qurum City Centre for some retail therapy, finding great deals on fashion, souvenirs, and more. To wrap up our day, we take a scenic drive along the Corniche and the embassy district, offering a stunning panoramic view of Muscat’s glittering city lights—a perfect ending to a remarkable day in Oman’s vibrant capital.
