Grand Mosque & Nakhal Fortress Morning Tour

Departing in the morning from Muscat, our journey begins with a visit to one of Oman’s most remarkable landmarks – the Grand Sultan Qaboos Mosque. From there, we head inland to explore the Nakhal Fortress, a stunning 350-year-old stronghold nestled at the foot of the mountains. Perched dramatically above an ancient village surrounded by lush date palm plantations, this fortress once served as a powerful defense against invaders. Inside, you can wander through its beautifully restored rooms, each adorned in traditional style, and uncover hidden passages and escape routes. The fortress’s rooftop offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and greenery.  

After exploring the fortress, we continue through the old village of Nakhal to reach the hot springs, a tranquil oasis where warm natural waters flow through a picturesque wadi. Here, you can relax by soaking your feet in the soothing mineral-rich water, a favorite pastime for both locals and visitors alike. Finally, we drive back to Muscat, bringing this unforgettable half-day adventure to a close.
