Cultural Hiking Adventure in Al Hamra

This five-hour hiking tour takes you on a journey through the stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Al Hamra. The adventure begins with an easy walk along well-marked trails, suitable even for beginners. The first stop is a lush green oasis, where tall palm trees sway gently in the breeze, offering a peaceful retreat amidst nature. Next, we visit a local museum to learn about the history and traditions of the region before continuing on a scenic trail towards the picturesque mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen, nestled at nearly 1,000 meters above sea level. While some parts of the path are steep, the breathtaking views at the top make the climb worthwhile. Upon arrival, you can explore the ancient mud-brick houses built into the mountainside and witness the traditional Falaj irrigation system, which is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
