At approximately 8:30 AM, embark on a journey through the stunning city of Muscat. Your first stop is the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, home to one of the world’s largest handmade Iranian carpets, weighing an incredible 21 tons and capable of accommodating up to 20,000 worshippers. Following the mosque visit, drive through the ministries district and explore the Royal Opera House, the premier center for arts and culture in Oman. The next stop is Qurum Beach for a photo opportunity, followed by a visit to taste traditional Omani bread with honey paired with karak tea. Continue to Muttrah Souk, one of the oldest marketplaces in Oman, dating back over two centuries. Discover an array of souvenirs before heading to Al Alam Palace, the official palace of His Majesty. Recognized by UNESCO as a "fossilized Bronze Age landscape," these beehive tombs serve as a time capsule from the BCE era. This World Heritage Site, inscribed in 1988, has provided invaluable historical insights to archaeologists worldwide. Continue your journey to Jebel Akhdar, also known as the Green Mountain, which is part of the Al Hajar Mountain range in Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate.
